Research Fellow · University College London
Dr. Trevor Barnes
My research focuses on studying the tradeoffs associated the energy transition. I deploy scalable and transparent energy system optimization models to evaluate decarbonization pathways, grid expansion strategies, and make energy policy suggestions. I have experience at top academic institutions, such as University College London, and leading industrial labs, such as Google DeepMind and Generac Power Systems. I am passionate about open science and developing software to enable reproducible and reusable energy systems research.
